This conference is sponsored by the Investment Company Institute and the International Bar Association. This year’s conference will address a variety of global issues from both the legal and business perspective. Our program includes panels on Investment Opportunities in the Emerging Markets of Africa, Indonesia and Russia; Advent and Impact of the Euro; Internet Update: Latest Developments; Fund Ranking and Performance Reporting: A Comparative Analysis; Defined Contribution Plans in Europe: Regulatory, Tax and Marketing Developments; Use of Central Depository in Emerging Markets and Keeping the Compliance Officer Happy in Multiple Jurisdictions: The Challenges of Central Control. As in past years, the conference speakers will represent a cross-section of mutual fund business executives, attorneys, accountants and regulators from the U.S. and a variety of other countries. Conference attendees also will represent a wide number of different disciplines from different geographic locations and ample opportunity will be provided for social interaction among attendees and speakers.
