BLUE SKY GUIDE RECIPIENTS
RE: REMINDER - 1989 BLUE SKY COMPLIANCE WORKSHOPS

As you know, the Institute is holding a series of workshops
on Blue Sky Compliance for members in different regions of the
country. The three workshops will be held in New York, Boston
and San Francisco. Space is limited to 100 persons, so please
submit your registration as soon as possible to guarantee a
space.
The program will cover all facets of registering a mutual
fund in the individual states, such as initial registration,
unique state requirements, renewal and amendment procedures and
exemptions. Employees who do blue sky work and handle state-
related issues will especially benefit from these workshops.
The workshop leaders will be Mary Ann Miller, Fidelity
Distributors Corporation; Elizabeth Nystedt, the Boston Company
Advisers, Inc.; Thomas Joseph, Scudder Fund Distributors, Inc.
and Rosemary E. Milner, Delaware Management Co., Inc. The
workshops are scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. with
ample time for questions from attendees after each presentation.

Registration for these workshops is restricted to employees
of ICI member mutual funds and their outside counsel. To
register, simply complete the form provided and return it, along
with a check for $150 for the first registrant and $100 for each
additional registrant within the same company, to the Institute.
A registration form is attached.
Please make your own hotel reservations, if you need a
hotel room. A block of rooms has been reserved in each hotel
under the name of Investment Company Institute, so mention our
