RE: SPECIAL MEETING TO BE HELD DURING THE 1997 ICI SECURITIES
LAW PROCEDURES CONFERENCE

As in the past, we have scheduled a meeting for members of the Institutes SEC Rules
Committee and several staff members from the SECs Division of Investment Management
during the 1997 ICI Securities Law Procedures Conference. The meeting will be held from 4:00
to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 1997 at the Sheraton Washington Hotel, 2600 Woodley
Road at Connecticut Avenue, NW, where the conference takes place. The purpose of this
meeting is to provide an opportunity to discuss open issues on an informal basis. There will be
no agenda, but instead an open forum for questions and answers.
Because of space consideration, this meeting is limited to members of the Institutes SEC
Rules Committee or an alternate who is planning to attend the conference. Please return the
form below by facsimile to Melissa Magruder at 202/326-5827, if you plan to attend.
Alternatively, you may sign up with Melissa at the conference registration area when you
arrive.
