The ICI Education Foundation will sponsor the 1996 ICI Securities Law Procedures
Conference on December 3 and 4 at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel, 999 Ninth Street,
NW. Enclosed is the final program brochure and registration form.
Barry Barbash, Director of the Division of Investment Management of the U.S. Securities
and Exchange Commission will give the keynote address, beginning the conference on
Tuesday. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that the Honorable Norman S. Johnson,
Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will be our distinguished
luncheon speaker. The panelists will focus their discussions on current issues including the
"National Securities Markets Improvement Act of 1996;" compliance issues; SEC no-action
positions and interpretations and exemptive applications; disclosure issues; current rulemaking
proposals; and NASD issues. Further details are noted in the brochure.
