Hotel. Attached is a brochure describing the preliminary program and including the registration form. Representatives from the mutual fund industry, law firms, the Division of Investment Management of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and NASD Regulation, Inc. comprise the six panels. Their discussions will focus on current issues including the "National Securities Market Improvement Act of 1996;" compliance issues; SEC no-action positions and interpretations and exemptive applications; disclosure issues, including the profile prospectus and possible amendments to Form N-1A; current rulemaking proposals; and NASD issues such as regulation of electronic communications and cash and non-cash compensation. The final program with a more detailed listing of the topics to be discussed will be mailed at a later date. To register for the conference, return the registration form with the appropriate fee to the Institutes Conference Division.
