RE: OCTOBER 22, 1996 MEETING NOTICE

The next meeting of the Bank & Trust Advisory Committee and the Vendor Advisory
Group will take place on October 22, 1996 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel located at
1500 Epcot Resorts Blvd. in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The meeting is being held in conjunction
with the ICIs 1996 Operations Conference and Vendor Exhibition. The preliminary conference
program is enclosed for your information.
The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m., after a buffet luncheon in the conference exhibit
hall. The meeting will begin with a discussion of the 401k Clearing Service currently being
developed by the NSCC with input from an industry task force. This discussion, which will end
no later than 2:30 p.m., will be open to trust companies and third party administrators that are
not on the Bank and Trust Advisory Committee. We will run through the Committees regular
agenda from approximately 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
A dinner will follow the meeting for interested committee members. Details on the
dinner will be forthcoming.
To make room reservations at the Dolphin Hotel, please call 1(800)227-1500 (Press"3")
and identify yourself as an Investment Company Institute conference attendee. The ICI
Conference room rate is $175 single/double and $210 Club Level. Room reservations must be
made by September 19, 1996.
The Institute has arranged air fare discounts with Delta airlines. See the enclosed flyer
for details.

Please remember, attendance is limited to Committee members or their designated
substitutes only. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved in advance by the Committee
Chairman and/or the ICI.
