RE: GOVERNMENT SPEAKERS AT JUNE 11 COMMITTEE MEETINGS

The luncheon speakers at the June 11 Tax and Pension Committees meetings will be
David Weisbach and Clarissa Potter from the Treasury Departments Office of Tax Legislative
Counsel. David and Clarissa will discuss, among other things, guidance that they are
developing to address the section 851(b)(4) diversification treatment of derivatives. Their hope
is that Committee members will provide them with information regarding the industrys
current treatment of these instruments.
