December 18, 1995 TO: CLOSED-END FUND COMMITTEE No. 62-95 INVESTMENT ADVISERS COMMITTEE No. 48-95 SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 129-95 SMALL FUNDS COMMITTEE No. 22-95 UNIT INVESTMENT TRUST COMMITTEE No. 88-95 RE: PUBLICATION BY SEC OF LIST OF RULES AND FORMS SCHEDULED FOR REVIEW EVERY TEN YEARS ______________________________________________________________________________ The Securities and Exchange Commission has published a list of rules and forms to be reviewed pursuant to the Regulatory Flexibility Act, which requires, among other things, that each agency review every ten years each of its rules that has a significant economic impact upon a substantial number of small entities. The purpose of the review is to determine whether the listed rules and forms should be continued without change, or should be amended or rescinded in order to minimize any significant impact of them upon a substantial number of small entities. The list of rules and forms to be reviewed by the Division of Investment Management is found on pages 3-12 of the attachment. Comments on the list are due by January 31, 1996. If you have any comments that you would like to be included in a possible comment letter by the Institute, please contact the undersigned by January 5th. Alexander C.
