The theme of this year’s conference is "On the Threshold of Change - Reforming How America Saves for Retirement." In plenary, concurrent and breakfast sessions, conference panels will explore a broad array of topics relevant to legal, marketing and operations professionals working in the ever-changing retirement plan marketplace. The 1996 conference is designed to provide up-to-date information on legislative and other legal developments and marketing and operational trends relevant to mutual fund pension specialists. We will also explore the most recent proposals for Social Security reform with leading experts in the field and reform’s relevance for the retirement market and mutual fund industry. Another panel will discuss issues confronting the industry as it attempts to educate "baby-boomers" planning for their retirement. Finally, separate panels will discuss issues relevant to the large and small employer retirement plan markets, 457 plans, and the developing nonqualified plan marketplace. We expect this conference will be well attended, so please complete and return the attached registration form as soon as possible along with a check for $425 for members, and $675 for non- members. Hotel and other information are further described in the attached brochure. If you have any questions regarding registration for this conference, contact the Institute’s Conference Division at 202/326-5968.
