RE: MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 29, 1995 MEETING

Attached for your information are the minutes of the September 29, 1995 Sales Force Marketing
Committee meeting and a list of meeting attendees. As referenced in the minutes, I have also
attached a copy of an Institute letter that was sent to Committee Chairman Mark Freeman last
May concerning the Institutes current position on bond fund sales practices. This letter was
sent to Mr. Freeman as a follow-up to the bond fund sales practices discussion that took place at
the April Committee meeting.
The next meeting of the Sales Force Marketing Committee is scheduled for Thursday, January
18, 1996 in Key Biscayne, Florida. You should have already received initial notification about
this meeting and the other Joint Winter Committee Meetings of the Institutes marketing,
communications, and research committees. A second notice about these meetings will be sent to
you shortly.
