RE: FORM 5500 REVISION

As discussed at the Pension Committee meeting on October 11, the Department of Labor and the
Internal Revenue Service are revising the Form 5500 and intend to publish a proposed new form by the
end of the year.
Please contact the undersigned (202-326-5835) with any particular Form 5500 items that you
would like to see revised or eliminated from (or added to) the Form. The Institute would like to submit
comments as soon as possible. Depending on the nature and volume of response to these issues, a
subcommittee may be formed to finalize a submission.
We will keep you informed of developments.
