The Securities and Exchange Commission has extended the comment period for the concept
release seeking suggestions on how to improve the descriptions of risk provided to investors by mutual
funds and other investment companies from July 7, 1995 to July 28, 1995. A copy of the CommissionGs
release is attached.
We had initially requested comments on the InstituteGs draft letter on the concept release by
June 29, 1995.1 In view of the extension of the comment period, we request that you provide us with
