The Institute is sponsoring its second annual conference on
Foreign Marketing and Investing on October 13-14 at the Willard
Inter-Continental Hotel in Washington, DC. This conference will
explore issues relevant to U.S. money managers seeking to market
or invest overseas.
Enclosed is a preliminary brochure that describes the
conference agenda. There will be a panel on investing in
emerging markets as well as case studies on investing in specific
foreign markets. Another panel will deal with custodial issues
for U.S. funds investing abroad. Other panel discussions will
focus on establishing funds and providing pension management
services in particular foreign jurisdictions. These panels will
deal with distribution and other practical considerations.
Speakers at the conference will represent a cross-section of
mutual fund business executives and attorneys from the U.S. and
abroad.
