RE: MEETING OF PENSION STATISTICS TASK FORCE SCHEDULED FOR
THURSDAY, MARCH 31, 1994

In 1992, the Institute formed a Pension Statistics Task Force as part of
its effort to expand its collection of data concerning retirement plan
investments in mutual funds. Based on the Task Force's recommendations, the
Institute launched a pilot program for the reporting of 1992 information, and
circulated a questionnaire designed to capture 1993 information earlier this

1993 and January 21, 1994, respectively.)
A meeting of the Task Force has been scheduled for Thursday, March 31,
in order to explore improvements to the questionnaire and the collection
effort in general. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be held in
the David Silver Conference Room at the Institute's new offices at 1401 H
Street, N.W., on the 12th Floor. Lunch will be served.
