RE: MEETING MARCH 2ND & 3RD IN JACKSONVILLE

As has previously been announced, the next meeting of the Broker Dealer Advisory
Committee will take place at the offices of Merrill Lynch Financial Data Services in
Jacksonville, Florida. Please be advised that since we will be meeting in Merrill's
office space, committee members are expected to be in appropriate business attire.
The meeting will commence at 2:00 PM EST on March 2nd, and continue
through until approximately 6:00 PM. The meeting will subsequently reconvene the
next morning (March 3rd) at 8:00 AM, and is expected to adjourn somewhere
between 3:00 and 4:00 PM.
A block of rooms has been pre-reserved at the Marriott Sawgrass at a rate of
$145.00 per night. Each attendee is responsible for his or her own individual
reservations however, and all reservations must be made by Friday, February 1st,
1994 at 3:00 PM EST in order to insure room availability. To make your reservations,
simply call 1-800-457-4653, identify yourself as a member of the Merrill Lynch/ICI
Conference, and specify the nights for which you will require accommodation.
Please be advised, moreover, that the special $145.00 rate has been extended
through Saturday evening for those of you wishing to stay the weekend.
For those of you who indicated a desire to play golf on the morning of the 2nd,
a blanket tee time going forward from 8:00 AM has been set, but you should discuss
among yourselves who you'd like to play with, and then contact the Golf Pro Shop
through the number above to reserve specific tee times. For your convenience,
those who preliminarily indicated an interest in playing golf are listed at the end of
this memo. As a reminder, you'll be responsible for your own greens fees.
Dinner, as noted in earlier communications, is scheduled for 7:45 PM at the
First Street Grill, and buses have been arranged to shuttle attendees back and forth
from the hotel. As for other housekeeping matters, telephone messages during the
committee meeting will be accepted at 1-904-928-5385.

In addition to the above, you will find attached an agenda for the meeting, as
well as a draft of the functional specifications for NSCC Fund/SERV Performance
Reporting Standardization. This document contains a questionnaire which you
should fill out and return to Tony Laudando if you have not already done so. Tony's

Your response will help Tony revise the specifications that he has already put
together. Since he'll need some time to analyze responses, we would ask that you
return questionnaires to him no later than Friday, February 11th, 1994.
