RE: 1993 ICI SECURITIES LAW PROCEDURES CONFERENCE

The ICI Education Foundation will sponsor the 1993 ICI Securities Law
Procedures Conference on December 2-3 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC.
This year’s conference will focus on current issues regarding disclosure
policy, rulemaking, compliance, closed-end funds and investment company
advertising. In addition, for the first time there will be panels on bank mutual
fund activities and derivative instruments. Representatives from the mutual fund
industry, outside counsel, the SEC’s Division of Investment Management, the CFTC,
the NASD and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency will comprise the
seven panels addressing the conference. Please refer to the enclosed
preliminary program for further details. A more complete listing of topics to
be discussed will be highlighted on the final program, which will be mailed at
a later date.

of the brochure with the appropriate fee to the Institute. Please note that
conference registration cancellations made after November 24 will incur a $75
