As many of you are aware, the 1993 NASAA Fall Conference will be held
September 26-29 in Orlando, Florida. In conjunction with the Fall Conference,
the Institute will be hosting a cocktail reception on Saturday, September 25
for Institute members and guests. The reception is tentatively scheduled for
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Yacht Club -- final details regarding the
reception will be sent to you at a later date. Please feel free to notify
other Institute members who are not members of the Committee of the
Institute's reception.
Also, in light of the many issues which will be discussed during the
NASAA Fall Conference, the Institute has scheduled a meeting on Sunday,
September 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hilton at WaltDisney World Village in
Orlando, Florida to update its members on the proposals likely to be
considered by the various NASAA committees during the Fall Conference. Please
contact Shirley McCoy at (202) 955-8430 if you will be able to attend this
meeting no later than Tuesday, September 21. The following is a brief summary
of the NASAA committee meetings or panels involving investment companies
and/or investment advisers:

Monday, September 27
