RE: CHICAGO BOARD OPTIONS EXCHANGE PROPOSAL TO LIST OPTIONS ON
CLOSED-END COUNTRY FUNDS

The Chicago Board Options Exchange ("CBOE") has filed a
request with the SEC for approval to list options on shares of
two closed-end funds: the Brazil Fund and the Growth Fund of
Spain. The shares of these funds trade on the New York Stock
Exchange. The SEC has published the attached release soliciting
comment on the CBOE’s proposal.
Comments on the CBOE’s proposal are due by December 4,
1992. Please provide me with your comments on the proposal for
possible inclusion in an Institute letter by November 30, 1992.
