RE: MINUTES OF JANUARY 23 MEETING

Attached for your information are the minutes of the January 23
meeting of the Direct Marketing Committee, which was held at the
Disney Yacht Club Hotel in Buena Vista, Florida.
An agenda will be sent to you soon for the next meeting of the
Direct Marketing Committee, which will be held at 9:30 am on
Thursday April 9 in Washington, DC. A joint luncheon with the
Sales Force Marketing Committee, which will feature a report on
legislative and regulatory developments affecting the fund
industry, will follow the meeting.
You should have already received information on the next meetings
of the Institute's other marketing and communications committees
that will meet in Washington April 9 and 10. You are welcome to
attend, as a visitor, any of these meetings.
