Attached, as discussed during today’s Tax Committee meeting, is the covering memo and 20-page document on the excise tax reform (“Murphy”) proposal that was considered in 1997. Please review these materials at your convenience.
The Tax Committee during future calls and meetings will discuss possible avenues, including this proposal, for simplifying excise tax calculations. Please feel free to contact Karen, Katie, or me for additional information regarding this initiative.
