RE: NOTICE OF COMMITTEE MEETING - DECEMBER 5, 1991

This is to advise you that there will be a meeting of the
Transfer Agent Advisory Committee at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday,
December 5, 1991. The meeting will be held in the Private Dining
Room at the offices of USAA Federal Savings Bank located on
Interstate 10 at Huebner Road in San Antonio, Texas. A
continental breakfast will be served prior to the meeting
beginning at 8:45 a.m. In addition to the meeting, Peggy
Schooley of USAA is arranging for a tour of the USAA facilities
to include a viewing of the USAA imaging process. The meeting,
itself, is scheduled to continue until approximately 2:30 p.m.
and will include lunch. The tour portion of the schedule will
begin after the meeting has concluded and should end at
approximately 4:30 p.m.
We are also arranging for a cocktail reception and dinner
for the evening of Wednesday, December 4, at Boudro's Restaurant
on the River Walk. Dinner attendees will be billed later for
their share of the total reception/dinner bill. Please indicate
your desire to attend this function by so indicating on the
attached form. Spouses and guests are welcome.
For your convenience, we have booked sleeping rooms at La
Mansion del Rio Hotel located on the River Walk at 112 College
Street in San Antonio. To make a reservation for yourself,
please call the hotel at 512/225-2581 and ask for a room in the
Investment Company Institute block at the conference rate of
$110.00 single or double. The hotel will accept reservations at
this special rate only through November 4, 1991 and only for
those persons identifying their affiliation with the Investment
Company Institute and requesting this special convention rate.
Because the hotel is some distance from the meeting site,
USAA has arranged for shuttle transportation from the hotel lobby
at 8:30 a.m. on December 5. In addition, there will be shuttle
transportation from the meeting site to either the airport or the
hotel following both the meeting itself as well as at the end of
the tour. Please indicate your preferred leaving time on the
attached form.
So that we will know in advance who will attend these
functions, please take a few moments to complete and return the
