RE: CONGRESS AGREES ON SEC REGISTRATION FEE INCREASE

On October 3, both Houses of Congress agreed to and passed
legislation that raises registration fees under Section 6(b) of
the Securities Act to 1/32 of 1% of the offering price of the
securities registered. (Last year the fees were set at 1/40 of
1%.) The bill now goes to the President and will become
effective upon his signature. We will keep you informed of
developments.
