Enclosed is Bruce Avery's summary of the meeting of June 6
and 7. Please note the attached IRA wire order survey results.
Also enclosed as promised are (1) position papers of A.G.
Edwards and the Public Securities Association regarding the Group
of Thirty recommendations, (2) a description of ACATS presented
at the Institute's 1989 Operations Conference, and (3) an ICI
memo on a proposed reporting requirement for monetary instruments
of less than $10,000.
The next meeting is expected to take place in Boston in
September; Colonial will host. We will send you a meeting notice
shortly with the exact dates.
