Conference Call to Discuss Ways & Means Proposals to Reform Financial Products Taxation - Thursday, Feb. 14 at 3:30 p.m. ET

TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 3-13 RE: CONFERENCE CALL TO DISCUSS WAYS & MEANS PROPOSALS TO REFORM FINANCIAL PRODUCTS TAXATION - THURSDAY, FEB. 14 AT 3:30 P.M. ET

 

The Institute has received several requests from Congressional staff regarding our views on the discussion draft recently released by Chairman Camp of the Ways & Means Committee. [1]  Although we plan to discuss these proposals in detail at our Tax Committee meetings next week, [2] we would like to have a conference call in advance of those meetings to walk through some of the potential issues for the fund industry.  This will give members time to consider the issues and the impact on their funds, and to consult with others in their complexes, before the Committee meetings next week.
