Attached is a copy of IRS Publication 590, Individual
Retirement Arrangements (IRAs), for use in preparing 1990
returns.
Publication 590 begins with a general overview of the IRA
rules. The document also explains in more detail the special
rules that apply to IRA contributions, transfers and withdrawals,
including applicable penalties.
The revised publication is substantially the same as the
version used in preparing 1989 returns. Appendix E, Tables I and
II, containing life expectancy tables, have been expanded to
cover individuals between the ages of 35 and 55.
