The Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) has released draft instructions for the 2011 Schedule D and Form 8949. [1]  The IRS released drafts of the 2011 Schedule D and Form 8949 in April 2011 [2] but has not yet issued final versions of those forms.

The IRS is accepting comments on the draft instructions.  Please provide any such comments to me (202-371-5432 or kgibian@ici.org) no later than the close of business on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.
