RE: TALKING POINTS ON MONEY FUNDS

Enclosed is a revised version of the money market fund document
which we previously sent you.
We appreciate the suggested changes and additions provided by
several committee members, and we have incorporated those to the
extent possible. We have also updated the paper to include the
rule changes announced by the SEC on February 13. Please keep in
mind that these changes will not go into effect until about June
1, and the existing rules apply until then.
You may also be interested in knowing that I had very productive
discussions on the money fund safety issue, among other issues,
with financial writers and editors at AP, Reuters, UPI, CNN and
New York Newsday during a visit to New York City on February 9. I
will also be stepping up the pace of my media visits to other
major cities during the weeks ahead.
