RE: FUTURE MARKETING COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Jon Fossel, President & CEO, Oppenheimer Management, has
been appointed by the Board of Governors to succeed Jim Riepe as
Chairman of the Marketing Committee.
Mr. Fossel has asked me to establish future meeting dates
for the Committee. Generally, the Committee will meet in late
fall, spring and early summer. This schedule is designed to
facilitate the Committee's review of projects and plans developed
by the Marketing and Research Committees in time for their
inclusion in the Institute's budget planning process.
We have attempted to schedule a Committee meeting in early
December but none of our preferred dates is suitable to a
majority of the Committee. Consequently, we are attempting to
schedule a meeting in January, prior to the Board of Governors
meeting on January 29-31. We are also trying to reserve a date
in March and June that will be suitable for future meetings. In
that regard, I would appreciate your returning the attached form
by FAX (202) 659-1519 or (202) 293-2673 to Ms. Sheilah R.
Henderson at the Institute as soon as possible.
Also attached for your information is a tentative agenda
for the January meeting. Please advise Jon Fossel (212) 323-0777
if you want other issues added to the agenda.
