FIXED-INCOME ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 32-08 RE: REMINDER - NOVEMBER 13 MUNICIPAL SECURITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING; AGENDA ATTACHED
A meeting of the Municipal Securities Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Thursday, November 13, 2008, at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, DC. The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time in the David Silver Conference Room and should conclude no later than 2pm. The meeting agenda is attached.
Erik Sirri, Director, and Martha Haines, Chief, Office of Municipal Securities, of the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets, will attend the meeting to discuss, among other things, recent developments in the credit markets affecting municipal securities and SEC disclosure initiatives. Given the critical nature of these important issues, we strongly encourage you to make every effort to send a representative from your firm to the meeting in person to contribute to the discussion. However, in light of recent market events, we will permit members – for this meeting only – to participate by phone.
