TO: SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 31-08     RE: NOTICE OF SEC RULES COMMITTEE MEETING AND SAN FRANCISCO AND CHICAGO VIDEOCONFERENCING OPTIONS - JUNE 3, 2008

 

A meeting of the SEC Rules Committee has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.  The meeting will be held in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th Floor at 12:00 p.m. Eastern time.  Lunch will be available beginning at 11:45 a.m.  We expect the meeting to end by approximately 3:30 p.m.

 

We are pleased to announce that the meeting will begin with a discussion on valuation issues with Douglas Scheidt, Associate Director and Chief Counsel of the Division of Investment Management at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  Also joining us is Elizabeth G. Osterman, Associate Director for Exemptive Applications and Special Projects in the Division of Investment Management of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  A draft meeting agenda will be circulated before the meeting.
