The Institute is in the process of gathering information
regarding individual participant account plans subject to the
Employee Retirement Income Security Act (e.g., profit sharing
plans, 401(k) plans, but not defined benefit pension plans or
IRAs) which are invested in the mutual fund industry. Please
forward the attached, brief survey to the individual or
department in your organization responsible for retirement plan
investment statistics and return the completed survey to the
undersigned as soon as possible, but no later than September 5,
1990.
