I enclose the revised set of Group A projects which reflect
discussions at the June 6th Committee meeting. The following
points will direct your attention to any changes made at the
Committee's request.
Proposal 2: Projects 2 and 9 among your original set of
proposals have now been combined and it is
proposed to undertake a series of focus groups
with fund owners to explore both the topic of
investment knowledge and the types of advice
sought. This is now proposal 2.
Proposal 3: The proposal makes clear that the
investigation is to be made of the 403(b)
market, not just the TIAA-CREF market.
Please rank each of the projects according to the priority you
assign to their being included on the Research Department's
agenda for fiscal 1990-1991 based on the merit of the idea and
