[18594] February 25, 2005 TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 5-05 RE: MARCH 4 CONFERENCE CALL ON OECD CONSIDERATION OF TAX TREATY ISSUES FOR COLLECTIVE INVESTMENT VEHICLES The Institute recently participated in a consultation between the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (“OECD”) and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (“BIAC”) on tax treaty issues concerning collective investment vehicles (“CIVs”). The discussion paper presented at the consultation is attached. A Tax Committee conference call to discuss this consultation will be held on Friday, March 4, at 2:00 p.m. (Eastern).
