RE: BTAC MEETING NOTICE - FEBRUARY 3, 2005
The next meeting of the Bank and Trust Advisory Committee will be held on Thursday,
February 3, 2005 at the offices of American Funds located at 3500 Wiseman Boulevard, San
Antonio, TX. The meeting will take place in the Dealer Briefing Conference Room. Continental
breakfast will be served at 8:15 a.m. and the meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be served
at noon and the meeting is expected to conclude by 3:00 p.m. Attire for the meeting is business
casual. Transportation will be available from the hotel to American Funds and will also be
provided to the San Antonio International Airport immediately after the meeting. Further
details regarding the transportation arrangements will be sent to you prior to the meeting.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country for the
nights of February 1 and 2 at the rate of $169/night plus tax and $10/day resort services fee. To
make reservations please call 210-647-1234 and ask for a room in the Investment Company
Institute block. Reservations must be made by January 16, 2005 to secure the room rate of $169.
Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance of scheduled arrival date to avoid penalty.
The Hyatt Regency Hill Country is located at 9800 Hyatt Resort Drive, San Antonio, TX.

DINNER – FEBRUARY 2
We are planning a Committee dinner for February 2nd at 6:30 p.m. Details regarding the
dinner will be sent to you as soon as arrangements are finalized. The Institute’s policy is to bill
individual committee members who choose to attend for their portion of the dinner. Please
note that if you confirm attendance for the BTAC dinner and cancel within 48 hours of the
scheduled event, you will still be charged for your portion of the pre-arranged dinner.
