The attached letter from the Wisconsin Department of
Revenue clarifies the eligibility of interest paid on certain
Wisconsin housing agency bonds for exemption from Wisconsin
income tax. A recent administrative rule modified the treatment
for some of these bonds. For those bonds exempt from tax, the
exemption applies whether the bonds are held directly or through
an investment company.
