RE: AUGUST 6TH CONFERENCE CALL ON SYNTHETIC MUNICIPAL BOND
PARTNERSHIPS
A conference call has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 6th at 2:00 EST to discuss
potential guidance from the Service revising or replacing Revenue Procedure 2002-68
(permitting monthly recognition of income for investors in certain synthetic municipal bond
partnerships).1 Specifically, we will discuss the attached proposal advanced by sell-side
