RE: Minutes of Last Meeting and Questionnaire on Next Meeting

Enclosed are the minutes and attendee list of the most recent
meeting of the Direct Marketing Committee, which was held in
Washington, DC on Sept. 27.
You should have already received detailed information on our next
meeting, which will be held at The Pointe (at Squaw Peak) in
Phoenix, Arizona on January 17, 1990. That information should
include a schedule of all of the Institute's marketing and
communications committee meetings, as well as the meetings of the
Research Committee.
To help us finalize the agenda for that meeting, please complete
the enclosed informal questionnaire and return it to me, as soon
as possible, at the Institute. Our address is: Investment
Company Institute, 1600 M Street, NW, Suite 600, Washington, DC
20036. The results of this survey will help determine the agenda
for our meetings in the year ahead.
Also enclosed, for your information, is a flyer on a new series
of one day seminars on how to sell mutual funds. The seminars are
sponsored by the International Association for Financial Planning
(IAFP).
