RE: NEW NASAA COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED

The North American Securities Administrators Association,
Inc. ("NASAA") has established a new committee, the Investment
Company Registration/Trading Practices Committee, to review
issues concerning mutual funds and unit investment trusts. The
members of the Committee are selected on an annual basis and
include the following:
Michael Northcutt, Texas - Chair
Diane Young-Spitzer, Massachusetts
Bradley Carroll, Maryland
Dennis Britson, Iowa
James Fischer, Wisconsin
Tammy Harthcock, Mississippi
The Institute has offered its assistance in providing
information regarding mutual funds and unit investment trusts to
the Chair of the Committee. At this time, the Committee has not
set its agenda for 1990 and contemplates meeting early next year
to determine what issues it will focus upon.
We will keep you informed of any developments.
