RE: SURVEY: MUTUAL FUND SALES DESK PRACTICES
In preparation for the October 7-8, 2002 meeting of the Investment Company Institute’s Sales
Desk Managers Roundtable, the Roundtable is conducting a brief survey on mutual fund sales
desk practices. Regardless of whether you plan to attend the October meeting, please
complete this survey (it should take no more than 5 minutes to complete) and return it to my
attention via email or fax no later than Friday, September 20, 2002. My email address is

Survey results will be reported to all participating mutual fund organizations—even if the
organizations are not represented at the October meeting. Only one survey should be
completed per mutual fund organization. Individual survey responses will remain confidential.
