RE: MEETING NOTICE -- SEPTEMBER 20, 2001
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Thursday,
September 20 at the New York Marriott Marquis located at 1535 Broadway in New York City.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon and the meeting is expected to
conclude promptly at 3 p.m. Following the meeting at the Marriott, the BDAC will tour
NASDAQ’s Market Site in Times Square. The tour will conclude by 4 p.m.
AGENDA – SEPTEMBER 20 MEETING
Attached is a preliminary agenda. In addition to the agenda topics listed, committee
members will break out into small groups for discussion sessions. Please provide your
discussion session topics to Nino (njp@capgroup.com) or Justine (justine@ici.org) by August 10.
ACCOMODATIONS AT THE MARRIOTT MARQUIS
If you require overnight accommodations, please contact the New York Marriott
Marquis at 212-398-1900 or call 1-800-843-4898. The room rate is $199 single/double. Please be
sure to mention that you are attending an Investment Company Institute (ICI) Broker/Dealer
Advisory Committee function. You must make your reservations no later than August 20 to
receive this discounted rate.
BDAC RECEPTION AND DINNER – SEPTEMBER 19
On September 19, there will be a reception for committee members at the Marriott
Marquis from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Further details regarding the room location will be provided in
a subsequent memo to BDAC members. Following the reception, committee members will be
given the option of participating in a dine-around at two local restaurants. Please indicate your
preference on the attached response form.
BDAC WALKERS – SEPTEMBER 20
On September 20, all BDAC meeting attendees are invited to participate in a walk for
approximately 45 minutes. The walk will begin promptly at 7:15 a.m. from the lobby of the
2Marriott. Please indicate whether or not you will be participating on the attached response
form.
MEETING ATTENDANCE
Meeting attendance is limited to Committee members or their designated substitutes only. Any
exceptions to this policy must be approved in advance by the BDAC Chairman and the ICI.
Please complete the attached meeting response form and indicate whether or not you or
a representative of your firm will be attending the September 20 meeting and other meeting
events. Several weeks prior to the meeting, attendees will receive a package containing attendee
lists, a summary of discussion points and supporting documentation for the agenda topics.

Attire for the meeting, reception and dinner is business casual.
