RE: 2001 INVESTMENT COMPANY DIRECTORS CONFERENCE - PRELIMINARY
PROGRAM
The Investment Company Institute is holding its Eighth Annual Investment Company
Directors Conference, October 17-19, 2001 in Washington, DC, and again on November 12-14,
2001 in Houston, TX. Enclosed are the preliminary program and registration forms for each
conference.
The conference will feature a varied program of industry experts, government officials
and experienced fund directors sharing their perspectives on issues of interest and concern to
the fund director community. Additionally, it will provide opportunities for fund directors to
meet with their peers informally and in group discussions.
We plan to open the conference with a general session addressing recent legislative and
regulatory initiatives that are of interest to fund directors. We will also offer a number of
concurrent sessions on topics relating to the operation of fund boards and the responsibilities of
directors.
