RE: ESTABLISHMENT OF AFTER-TAX RETURN CALCULATOR WORKING GROUP;
NOTICE OF MEETING
At the February 28th SEC Rules Committee meeting, some members indicated that their
firms were considering developing after-tax return calculators. It was discussed that there
likely would be a number of issues involved in developing the methodology that would be used
for the calculator as well as other related issues. We agreed at the meeting that the Institute
would establish a working group of members to facilitate a discussion of the issues associated
with developing an after-tax return calculator.
The purpose of this memorandum is to solicit interest in participation on the working
group and to announce its first meeting, which will be held on April 18th at 10:00 a.m. The
meeting will take place at the Institute’s offices, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., in the
David Silver Conference Room on the 12th Floor. Lunch will be served following the meeting.
