RE: NOTICE OF TWO-DAY MEETING: JULY 25-26, 1989

This is to confirm the two-day meeting of the Broker/Dealer
Advisory Committee on Tuesday, July 25 and Wednesday, July 26,
1989. The meetings will be held at the Somerset Hilton which is
located at 200 Atrium Drive, Somerset, New Jersey 08873.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be served on both days.
It is recommended that you fly into the Newark Airport
which is closer to Somerset than either Kennedy or LaGuardia
airports. If you want to avail yourself of shuttle
transportation from Newark to the Somerset Hilton, please give us
your flight information and expected time of arrival. We can
then coordinate either a limousine or van to meet small groups.
Please do not invite outside vendors to this two-day
meeting as the sessions are open only to ICI member firms
represented on the committee, NSCC and DTC.
For your convenience, we have booked sleeping rooms at the
Somerset Hilton for the nights of July 24 and 25 at the rate of
$85 per night for single and $105 per night for double. To make
hotel reservations, please call the Somerset Hilton at 201/469-
2600 no later than Sunday, July 9, 1989 and tell them you want a
room in the Merrill Lynch/ICI Conference block . After July 9,
the hotel will release the rooms to the general public.
Merrill Lynch is inviting you to a casual cocktail
reception and outdoor barbecue (weather permitting) on the night
of Tuesday, July 25 at the hotel. The reception will begin at
6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Should the weather be
inclement, the barbecue will be conducted indoors. As Merrill
Lynch is hosting this function, it must provide the hotel with a
guaranteed head count one week in advance. Accordingly, if you
have indicated that you will attend but change your plans, you
must let us know in advance so we can adjust the count.
In order that we know exactly who will be attending this
two-day meeting and dinner, we ask that you complete the attached
blue form and return it to Rita Pemberton at the Institute by
July 7, 1989. Or, if you prefer, please call Rita Pemberton at
202/955-3551 by July 7.
An agenda and more detailed information regarding the
times, meeting room names, etc. will be sent shortly.
