The SEC today voted to publish for comment significant revisions to Form ADV. In
view of the SEC’s action, the Investment Advisers Committee meeting scheduled for next
Thursday, April 13th at 1:30 p.m. will be primarily devoted to discussing the Commission’s
proposal. We will circulate the proposed amendments to you as soon as they are publicly
available. Robert E. Plaze, Associate Director of the SEC’s Division of Investment Management,
will attend the meeting to discuss the revisions and other issues of concern to members. Please
note that the comment period on the SEC’s proposal is only 60 days, so the upcoming
Committee meeting will likely be our only opportunity to meet as a group on the proposal
prior to the Institute’s filing a comment letter.
