Enclosed is a copy of the 1989 Mutual Fund Fact Book, hot
off the press!
The book is divided into two main sections--text and data.
The text covers basics of the history and development of the
industry, and provides an up-to-the-minute look at industry
trends and statistics for 1988. A series of charts, graphs, and
tables illustrates these trends and helps the reader compare
activity in 1988 to prior years. The data section features
extensive tables on sales, assets, redemptions, exchanges, and
other information on the mutual fund industry, by specific
investment objective and by various types of market segments.
The 1989 edition also features a new chapter on the
distribution of mutual funds.
