The Investment Company Institute has scheduled the 1999 Securities Law
Developments Conference, sponsored by the ICI Education Foundation, for Thursday and
Friday, December 9-10, at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel, 1000 H Street, NW, in
Washington, DC. Enclosed is the preliminary program with the registration form.
Representatives from the mutual fund industry, the U.S. Securities and Exchange
Commission, NASD Regulation, Inc., and outside counsel will comprise the conference panels
and will focus their discussion on current mutual fund regulatory issues including: Current
Rulemaking; No-action Positions, Interpretations and Exemptive Applications; Mutual Fund
Governance; Year 2000 Issues; Compliance Issues; and NASD Issues. Please refer to the
enclosed preliminary program for further details.
