EST ______________________________________________________________________________ As discussed in a previous memorandum,1 the Internal Revenue Service has issued Revenue Procedure 99-31, which provides supplemental guidance on its Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS). This guidance provides examples of correction methods to address various operational failures for plans participating in the APRSC, CAP and VCR programs. A conference call has been scheduled for Thursday, September 16, 1999 at 2:30 p.m. EST to discuss whether the guidance raises issues that the Institute should address in a comment letter. Comments to the Revenue Procedure must be submitted by November 21, 1999.
