This year, this SEC initiative will focus on investor education in schools and workplaces. Attached is the following information supplied by SEC staff: ! Frequently Asked Questions about the Campaign ! SEC Guidelines for Participation in the Campaign ! Information on the School Visit Program, with a list of contacts at the state council affiliates of the National Council on Economic Education ! Information on the Worksite Speaker Program ! Information on distributing the “Ballpark Estimate” ! A sample memorandum for use by employers with employees ! A fax-back response form to inform the SEC staff about your campaign plans As noted in the attached materials, beginning April 9, 1999, the SEC intends to make available on its website at www.sec.gov/consumer/camp99/getfacts.html a “financial literacy” quiz for students, talking points for use during school and worksite visits, and articles for employee newsletters.
