RE: UPCOMING PENSION COMMITTEE MEETING - FEBRUARY 3, 1999

Mark your calendar for the next Pension Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday,
February 3, 1999 at the Institute’s David Silver Conference Room, 1401 H Street, Washington,
D.C. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served immediately following the meeting. In
addition, we have scheduled a meeting on the issue of "uniform 401(k) plan fee disclosure" on
February 3, 1999 from approximately 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This uniform 401(k) fee disclosure
meeting is a result of the Department of Labor’s request for the Institute to coordinate efforts
with other 401(k) plan associations to develop a uniform 401(k) plan fee disclosure form. The
meeting on February 3, 1999 will serve as a follow-up meeting to the initial meeting on this
issue scheduled for Thursday, January 7, 1999.
If you or an alternate plan to attend the Pension Committee meeting, the luncheon
and/or the uniform 401(k) fee disclosure meeting, please fill-out the attendance form attached
below and fax it to Zipporah Mbuthia at (202) 326-5841 by COB Friday, January 29, 1999. In
addition, if you have any items that you would like to include on the agenda for the Pension
Committee meeting or the uniform 401(k) plan fee disclosure meeting, please list them on the
attached attendance form or forward them to Russ Galer via email at rgaler@ici.org or Kathryn
