RE: PRELIMINARY PROGRAM FOR THE 1999 RETIREMENT PLANS
CONFERENCE

The Investment Company Institute will sponsor its eighth annual Retirement Plans
Conference March 3-5, 1999, at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana. The
conference will feature general and concurrent sessions on legal and operational issues relating
to retirement plan investments in mutual funds. Enclosed is the preliminary program
brochure.
To register for the conference, please return the registration form and the appropriate
fee to the Institute’s Conference Division as soon as possible. The registration deadline is
February 17, 1999. Conference registration cancellations received between February 18 and
March 2 will be subject to a $250 administrative fee. Please make your hotel reservations by
calling the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel directly at 800/253-6156 prior to the cutoff date of
February 3, 1999. Be sure to identify yourself as an Investment Company Institute conference
attendee to secure the conference rate of $175 for a single or double room.
